Lawrence Klein, the winner of Nobel Prize for Economics, indicates that Taiwan should make good use of software technology to promote its industry competitive. He points out that Taiwan doesn't have to give up the ready-owned information hardware industry based on the existing economy development. Taiwan should develop high value-added industry and emphasize the software application in service and industry. As for the suggestion of Taiwan's economy development, he says, it is not healthy enough if Taiwan economy growth only focuses on export. He thinks, Taiwan doesn't need to abandon the development of information hardware equipment industry, but it should step into high value-added software industry and apply software in more services and industries.
